How to read this

Speed is how fast the page shows. Accessibility is whether all people can use the site. That includes people who use a screen reader (what this means). Safety and quality checks the site is safe and well built. Found on Google is how well Google can read the site.

Google’s own test calls these Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO.

A score of 90 or more shows in green. Google sets these colours, not me.

Under the scores, the test says how fast the page showed. Under 2.5 seconds is good. It shows in green. It also says if the page jumped about. And it says if taps worked straight away.

Do not just take my word for it. Each card has a link to run Google’s test yourself. Then you can see today’s score.

If you test the same page twice, the score can change. That is normal. Google says it depends on your phone or computer. It also depends on your Wi-Fi or data, and any add-ons in your browser. It does not mean the site changed.

Google says the speed score is a range. It is not one exact number. The other three scores come from pass or fail checks. So they stay the same.
